In 2016, Oscar was one of six Australians to be selected to head to Silverstone in the UK to compete in the GT Academy Race Camp, which included on and off track challenges, fitness and written tests, interviews, and plenty of time on the famous Stowe circuit (and other nearby venues) in Caterhams, buggies, single seaters and various Nissan models. The ultimate prize was a race seat in an international endurance race (such as the Dubai 24hrs), and for a guy who started all this off playing his PS3, he came exceptionally close to it.
